Bands must fit all of the following requirements:
1. Bands of 3 or more musicians can enter our contests.
2. Band must have at least one social media account that is active.
3. Bands must be able to video their writing and performance for one hour and time code it (more to come on that).
4. Bands must be able to edit their one hour into smaller video clips
Honestly, no. However, to be considered for the actual reality show, explained in the About Us page of this website, we prefer more than one writer, as it makes for “better television.” All band members should be giving input into the creation of the song, not just lyrically, but musically.
Every 2 weeks we will host a new contest. Bands that register to be in the contest will receive an email with the topic for that contest. Each band will open that email live to start the one hour song writing competition.
Bands must have a clock or time code visible for the one hour, which includes opening the email for the topic reveal.
Topics may include a few lines from a poem, or lyrics from another song. Topics can also be about a news clip or pieces of history.
Subscribers to the Who’s That Band show will be able to vote once per competition.
Yes, we encourage bands that do well to enter more than once. Not only can it help to improve their skills it also gets them in front of a large audience of viewers.
To enter a contest, it costs the band $25.00 a song. Bands can enter multiple contests. The entry fee includes:
· Access to a national audience through streaming video clips of the bands on YouTube, and all social media platforms.
· Receive feedback on their song and be signed up to receive emails about songwriting and recording strategies.
· Potential to be chosen as a competing band on the Who's that Band reality show!
Yes. Since this will be a show for all ages, we strongly request that there is no inappropriate language or adult content themes used in the song as well as the writing process. Everyone should sensor themselves and keep it classy.
